Hope

 

Last post of the year, goodbye 2020! Another gouache study from a photo I found on Pinterest. Unfortunately I don't know who the photographer is, but I felt very inspired by them. The original is a cityscape photo with faint stars in it and a beacon of light shining through. But, with my painting, it's a glowing flower field with tons of bright stars shining in the night sky and with more larger and vivid colored clouds. I also added a beacon of light, in darkness there is light and we should always have faith and hope. Perhaps we'll find our way, under this vast sky that we all share. When I look at this painting, it gives me a lot of hope. Maybe it will for you too?
