Susuwatari 煤渡り

Susuwatari aka soot sprites/dust bunnies appear in the movies Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro. These little spirits are round fuzzy balls of soot that hover around and usually live in old abandoned houses. They are known to eat konpeito, a Japanese sugar candy.
